RULES FOR GAMEPLAY 2009

The policy for rules in the BFL is to adapt rules for game play that mirrors what you see on Sundays in the NFL. This rulebook guideline will help outline those rules. However if you are unclear about what can/cannot be done use the NFL as your guide.

We are going to look at the rules for 2009 by section and will vote and accept them on Draft day 2009.

Offensive linemen the following are rules that govern OL play.
You are allowed to switch linemen around G/T/C may be allowed to play any
Position on the line of scrimmage on Offense. You are not allowed to put OL on the
DL of Scrimmage except in package or formation audile options. You are allowed
To place any back up player/players on the line example you could have an OL of all
Guards, Centers or all Tackles.

Defensive Linemen: The following govern the rules for DL play.
You are not allowed to move any DL out of his normal position unless he is being
User controlled before the snap of the ball. You cannot make DL adjustments until the linemen are set at the line of scrimmage. You are allowed to place 4 DE on the line
Or 4 DT on the line if you choose. You are not allowed to sub any player other than
A DL for the DL. If you click onto a DL and move him, you must control him you can't
Click to a DL move him and then click to another line and control him instead. You
Would have to control the 1st DL you clicked to and moved. You must rush at least 2 men
From the line of scrimmage, you are allowed to drop people into coverage but two men have to be rushing from the line.

All Linebackers:
You are allowed to interchange any linebacker position for any other LB position. I.E the MLB can play outside etc, you cannot sub a LB for any other spot on the field including DE You can only get a LB a DE by way of packing. You can't call dime package you LB
At DE then audible to a 4-3, that type of audible is not allowed. We will discuss more about that later. You are allowed to move a LB inside or outside manually if you are
Not blitzing said linebacker. This differs from the DL movement,

Cornerbacks You are not allowed to move CB's inside or outside manually this can only be done by the play called or by the joystick. You may blitz any CB from any position.
CB can only be subbed, for FS and SS by way of an injury. Example you can have a
CB on the depth chart at SS/FS but he cannot come into the game unless there is an injury to the all the SS/FS on the depth chart.

SS/FS The rules for the Safeties are much like those for CB's you can't sub the SS/FS for any other position you place them inside or outside the tackle box
