The State of the League
Here we are again fellas, another BFL season upon us. This season promises
to be the greatest of them all. Why do I say this? Well, first off,
this is the first time that we've had as many balling sessions throughout
the league with several groups forming throughout the league. The ballers
that have struggled in the past have been out balling with the elite
of the league, which alone makes you better. The group sessions also
help to develop relationships within the league. There are so many factors
that contribute to making our league strong. The balling starts it,
but it has an indirect effect on the success of the league.
I am the President of this league, but the success of the league is
due to the commitment of the members of this league. We have a strong
backbone with the Board and the rest of members. We all contribute unselfishly.
Friday nights are filled with excitement and eagerness to ball. But
before we can ball, things have to be done. The men of this league have
stepped forward and taken leadership roles that do not go unnoticed.
There are a few members that have gone beyond their share of duties
and for that I'm greatly appreciative.
The BFL, "Simply the best!" That's strong considering there
are so many leagues in existence, but very true. What separates us from
the rest is what we stand for with Madden. The game has evolved to where
most anyone can compete on a given day. But because we modify the way
we play the game, it's still an X's and O's game with the BFL. A lot
of leagues argue that, "It's in the game, it's in the game,"
well No! We will continue to ball the way we agree to ball and not fall
victim to the temptations of the CPU abuse. We all know that there is
a certain amount of CPU in the game whether it is offensively or defensively.
We also have a pretty good knowledge of what CPU abuse is. Whether we
(Ballers across the country) choose to acknowledge it or not is another
thing. Pride and stick control is still two factors that make the game
fun, lets keep it that way.
In closing, again I'm thankful for the efforts of everyone and I'm
thankful that you all have entrusted me to head this league.
Thank You,
Vincent Miller BFL President
